How to increase car torque?
Hello,
I would like to know safe ways to increase my trucks torque without harming the engine or anything else ?
I know modifications to engine must be made so the internal parts can handle heat and maybe pressure. Getting more air into the engine sounds like the engine pistons will suffer. but i guess it's the only way to increase torque since the engine is what moves the car lol

I would like to know the easy ways to add torque.. don't matter if i have to change internal parts but without hoisting up the engine. I want to do everything myself.. so dyno is a no no .. I'm just worried of what will happen to the engine of too much pressure from compression strokee. That's why i need to know what parts i'll need to change.

Here are a couple basic things.
1-install tires with a smaller sidewall. Like 265/25 rxx
The smalled tires will spin more easily.
You can install true dual exhaust for better low end torque.
You can install a cold air intake.
You can install a small Turbo charger for better power at mid and low range rpm's
Without going through head gaskets so quickly.
All these things, especially the last will definitely net you some torque

Keep oem plugs and wires. You can do a smaller cam. Somethin like a 212/218 112 lsa will be a more low end torquey cam.
For serious business though just do the Longtube headers, intake, single 3" exhaust, cam, converter and tune.
