Get Bilsteins or KYB. My next choice is Monroe (Reflex) or Gabriel. They make your truck ride like a truck.

You tell us. How do you like the ride of your truck? What type of 4x4 driving do you do? Do you only stay on the pavement?

I never cared much for Rancho 5000, they seem harsh for road driving. I've heard the adjustables are nice from Rancho, but seem pricey.

How much are the shocks at the dealer? Stay with OEM is what I do. I have a 2004 Silverado 4X4 Z71 package K1500

If your truck is lifted, the stock shocks will not fit.
Bilstein makes a special part number shock for the Z-71 suspension.
Visit their website. Or go to your Chevy dealer and see if that $$$ is comparable.
