Default 1968 C10 engine swap help wanted

I have a 1968 C10 that came with a 250 ci 6 cylinder with manual transmission (3 speed on the column). I'm changing it over to a 327. I know the 327 mates up to the 6 cyl bell housing and the flywheel and the clutch fits. My question has to do with exhaust manifolds, clutch linkage and engine mount positions. I used a 1968 LH exhaust manifold which flows to the rear. It does not have room for the clutch linkage. I compared this installation with a 1968 GMC 3/4 ton with a 4 speed MT and it appears to use this same exhaust manifold. However, the motor mount towers are located about 3" forward. There are 3 holes in the frame for the tower. The GMC uses the front 2. The C10 uses the rear 2. Should I have moved the towers? Is there another exhaust manifold that will work?
