thats what I thought but soon realized that the converter is always spinning the same way, so it should do it all the time right

it... almost sounds like shift linkage is out of whack. just for schlitts and giggles. look at linkage and make sure. ABSOLUTE SURE that its properly adjusted. when you say creeper in neutral, it just sounds like teh linkage is tellin the valve body to push your inner spool valve a little so it sort of engages the clutches and planetary and when it "sort of" grabs gear. that means lots of slippage, them clutches and bands are not liking that much ill tell ya that right now. and if the linkage is ok. well still its slipping and we dont want that no sir. i just have a sneaking feeling the converter is not the issue. since its only a fluid coupler and when you say its a creeper. means valve body is sending pressure to engage. so... look at the linkage. double triple check. let us know.

Same thing happening to my 1997 Z71. I had the transmission rebuilt 2 weeks before the hopping in rev and neutral, also moving in neutral. Driving it back to the shop, lost all gears. They told me rev clutches were burned up, they repaired, but all the hopping and shaking was coming from my tranfercase, BS. I'll talk to the owner on Monday
