Default 1999 Chevy 1500-MX Question

i have a 1999 Chevy 1500 with about 85k on it below are some pictures of the transmission meeting the engine. I can fix some minor things (belt, brakes, and oil changes) but with the bigger stuff i have to take it to a shop i just dont have the tools or the patience for that kind of stuff. So my question is what would have caused what is happening in these pictures and how much would it be to get it fixed or with my limited skill and tools could i fix it myself? Im considering a new chevy 2500 (or the GMC) anyway I just need to know if this is worth my time. It also needs new wiring the dash is going out, and new hoses on the radiator. Just a lot of smaller stuff and this… and Im not sure what to do about it, any advice out there?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
