the display stuck in d2 will not start, gear lever in park, anybody with this problem please e-mail me rlanza@nycap.rr.com. my truck has only 15040 original miles. I have chevrolet involved now.
The truck is an 03, factory warranty only lasts for 3 years, he's 2 years out.
And why get chevrolet involved? the truck is 2 years out of warranty....what can you possibly expect them to do?
anyways....your problem is probably within the safety neutral switch on the transmission

the truck has only 15000 miles on it. also it had a extended warranty that just expired. and WHY NOT ask for help from chevrolet. They already replaced that switch and it still has not solved the problem.
Let's cut Shawn some slack here. Information he didn't know, for one, for another, he's helped more people here than all of us combined, and deserves our gratitude and respect. He doesn't have to do this, and has saved many of us a lot of grief and money.
All silverado owners, as for my problem on my 2003 silverado, with the display stuck in D2 and not starting. This is what chevrolet did for me. They repaired the internal pressure switch, and the external prndl switch ,repaired corroded pin to correct the inop prndl the no start condition. chevy wanted to have the dealer find out what the problem was, at $110 per hour. They told me that they probably would pay it. But guess what, they stiffed me,
I get a call from a GM rep telling me that they would not do goodwill or any other thing to help off set the price. I got stuck for $ 870 bucks. I have owned 35 new chevrolet cars and trucks in the past 35 years. I guess I won't be buying a 2010 Camero SS . The reason that i'm upset is this truck has only 15000 original miles. Thanks Chevrolet.
