2500HD exhaust
Hey guys, I'm looking to put an aftermarket muffler on my 2004 GMC 2500 6.0. I don't want to do a cat-back or crossovers or anything, just want to replace the stock muffler with something that will wake it up a little bit. Anyone have any input? Obviously the less cab drone the better, nobody likes that. I don't want it to sound "raspy" like straight pipes either. Just something really low and meaty that won't cause headaches for 3 blocks, but gives it just that little bit more when you stand on it. I was thinking a Borla XR-1. My dad has a Flowmaster 40 series on his 5.3, and it sounds really nice, but I've heard the LQ4's don't play nice with those. Any input would be much appreciated! Thanks.
Flow masters are known to drone really bad. Borla is a really nice option, I generally go with magnaflow, but either one will do what you want. Bein a 6.0 it's gonna be louder than a 5.3 regardless
