Same thing. It pretty much is a new engine. We get a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty for the GM dealer on engines. After we install it if something happens to the engine the owner can take it to any GM dealer. You should ask them if you get the same thing.

I've been told I get a 12/12,000 warranty on it since it was replaced under warranty. They told me if it was customer pay I would get 3 years. Both the dealer and Chevy Customer Care told me this. I sure wish they would give me a little longer coverage.

In my experience these factory remans have always been very dependable.

I've never heard of anyone else having an issue with them, either.

Got my truck back with the new motor today. Sounds pretty good so far except for the sqeak which I think is wet belts because they power washed the engine when they were done.

Any suggestions on how to drive for the first few miles? All they said was not to tow for 500 miles. I'll probably change the oil at 500-1000 miles in. I suppose I'll go ahead and switch over to Mobil 1 at that time.
