Default Changing rim size on 2007 Silverado??

Has anyone changed there rim size on a 2007 and up silverado? I have 17's but want to upgrade to 18". The dealer guy said it wouldn't work due to the computer in the truck. Any techs out there have a good answer? Thanks.

I took off stocks on my Texas edition silverado (20's) and put on 24's drives and works great

No, change on the computer settings. My 2009 came stock with 20 inch wheels but I had the 24's installed that were the same basic outside diameter. I did the same on my 2000 silverado it through off the speedometer by 5 miles but ran it for years with no problems.
