Default Clicking-Grinding

I own a 94 GMC K1500 Pickup 5.7L V8. Lately I have been experiencing a fast paced clicking noise when i accelerate but not when i idle. It seems that when I idle, I experience a grinding noise, but this grinding noise only seems to happen when the truck is at operating temperature. I have no idea what these noises are coming from, nor does my mechanic. Any ideas/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I just has a new belt put on not even a month back. a friend just told me it could be a clogged TBI, but i really don't know. The grinding seems to be coming from the drivers side near the area where the fuel pump is located.

If it happens when the truck is moving, maybe needs brake pads, or possibly a universal joint is bad! Good luck.
