I recently went to put headers on my 95 k1500 with a 350 TBI and I discovered that there were two broken off bolt into the head. I fixed the one on the passenger side with a heli coil but on the drivers side i drilled the hole too far to the exhaust port coming out of the head and it is now connected to the exhaust port in the head. It was the 7 cylinder exhaust port. How can i fix this problem? Is it time for a new head or is there another way to fix this without taking the head off?

 

The new bolt should seal it up.

 

Now the problem is that the hole doesn't align so I will need to drill anther hole to line the header holes up. When I do that it leaves the hole not plugged. Is there some kind of sealant to put in there that will not break apart as soon as you start the engine.

 

What headers did you go with?

 

I'm not sure I if I should buy some new or used ones but I have a set of 305 heads off a 93 pickup.

 

Will a set of 305 heads from a 93 pickup fit on and work on a 95 350 TBI?
