Default High Pitched Whistling

I just got a new 08 Silverado LTZ and have noticed that there is a high pitched whistling coming from the engine that is very annoying. Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks for the help

Do you have a bug shield on? I found that with my '07, I felt the need to raise the hood slightly to prevent contact with grill when closed, so I raised the hood slightly (just a bit). That was enought to cause bad high pitched howl when at 55MPH or more. I ended up bringing the hood back down just a bit, that was enough to get rid of the noise.

Check your air induction cover at base of windshield to make sure it's not loose, otherwise take it back to dealer and complain

If you have a sunroof it may be the problem. I know every once in a while I get it & open & closeit a couple of times it stops??

No sun roof, it is coming from inside the engine. I think it may have to do with the power steering.

No bug sheild and induction cover is tight. I think it may have to do with the power steering. I read where another guy had the same issue but on a Tahoe and he had to have the steering mechanism replaced because GM states thatthis is a no fix issue at this time, but thanks for the info.
