2005 5.3 with the iron block have 295hp, 2005 5.3HO with aluminum blocks have 310 though they are very rare.

 

ok you have a 05' crew cab 5.3 it should be the 310hp that was the option in the crew's i know i have one and it is the 310. chevy wanted a more powerful engine in the crew cabsthats why they have the 310 ver.

 

I have an 05 LS with the optional alu. block 310 hp engine, however, it is ina ex cab, not crew cab.

I'm from Regina, also. If you want to get exhaust, check out Muffler City in Melville. He did a true dual exhaust on my '04 Silverado for under $400. He used a pair of throaty Flowmasters, and that alone woke my truck up.

 

the crew cabs in the nbs did not come with the 310hp alum. 5.3 only the ext cabs did. the crew cabs were all 295hp.
