Just Got back from having the ign module checked out and it was good, or at least tested that way. I' really startin to lean towards the ECM too. I may have to bite the bullet and have it towed to the shop.

im pretty sure the computer under the dash i think under the glove box... my 1989 silverado the computer is under the glove box... that is what im telling you is wrong. sorry if that sounds bossy.. but i have a pretty good feeling that if you change it with your year of truck it should start... we got the computer box for our ford ranger out of the junk yard for like 30$..so if you dont wanna tow it you can try finding one on EBAY or a JUNK YARD... best of luck

Well, I just wanted to update this thread for those who use the search function. It turned out to be the spark control module, ignition module, whatever you want to call it. The little rectangular box by the coil. Tested good at NAPA worked on the truck some more, and finally got pi$$ed and tried a different module and the truck fired up. Go figure. Truck has been running great for some time now.
