OK so I have a delphi on the way, but I got to thinking about something...When I was on Rockauto, I saw the Airtex and saw that it included a wiring harness. Why does it need a wiring harness? Will my Delphi have one? Is the wiring that leads to the fuel pump cut when installing an Airtex? If so, what happens if the previous owner put an Airtex on at some time, will I have to buy a new wiring connector for my Delphi unit? Is there any way of knowing without dropping the tank if I will need to get a connector?

 

The parts came in. Delphi did include a wiring harness. So I got my haynes manual in and I read that it said I needed to get some kind of a tool to disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel pump. I was planning on doing the replacement tomorrow (Sunday) so I kinda need to know if somebody would give me some advice. I don't want to go and get the tool if I don't need it. But I also don't want to drop the tank if I don't have the tool but need it.
