I just recently bought an 03 silverado 1 ton with the 8.1.

After work i got in the truck and started up fine and normal. I got 3 blocks down the road at reduced engine power come up across the cluster. Shut truck off then started it back up and ran fine. Happened 3 more times in my 5 mile drive home.

Anybody have any ideas what could be causing this. The only known problems with truck is the gauge cluster. Some gauges dont always work and the oil pressure nvr has. Havent got around to sending the cluster off for repair.

Borrowing a scan tool tomorrow to check cel.

have catalytic converters checked/replaced. also, def check for trouble codes.
