Need help buying a new Silverado.
Hello all,
Before I drop a ton of cash on a truck I need to be as informed as possible. that's where you all come in.
I will tell you may situation and I welcome all comments.
Currently I own a:
Dark Spiral Grey (gonna miss this color)
2004 2500HD extended cab 4x4
6.0gas.
Really nice shape no rust 99,000 miles in Eastern Ohio
Looking at getting a new 2500HD Diesel.
At a (not so local) dealer I found a:
2013 2500HD diesel
Loaded to the tune of MSRP 57,365
They have it priced at 50,000 with the current incentives.
My truck trade value on KBB is 12k
I asked them for an offer. They offered me 9,000 for my truck.
The offer was "your truck and 41000" I was also told "the current incentives will expire in a month. The new incentives could be better or worse."
I drove the two hours home in the 04 not knowing what to do.
Anyone know anything about the incentives? Are the current ones 'good' or 'typical'?
Thanks for any input you may have. Before I get into a 700/month payment I want to make sure I didn't get railed.
Also any opinion on buying the current Duramaxx as opposed to waiting for the '14 or finding used. which is impossible because they all are two years old with tons of miles.
Are there issues with the current 2500HD that makes it a bad descision.

As far as incentives go, I think it all evens out in the end. I got a total of $11,200 off my sticker with my trade plus rebates and some haggling. If I had waited a few more months, the rebates were slightly better, but I may not have received what I did for the trade. Good luck!
