I don't really understand what you mean bud, I understand when you get on it that it bogs down, but what do you mean feels like it lets go and keeps on going and doesn't want to turn off?

You didn't say what year or how many miles, but I would suspect your fuel pump is getting ready to give up the ghost.

If you have a 100k or more miles very likely....when you punch it the fuel pressure drops, then when you let off it regains some.

That's why is drives fine just putting around.

Mine did the same thing for a long time, now when I punch it it just keeps pulling

Fuel pump is gettin ready to take a **** on you. Sorry, it's a very very common problem with 99-02 silverados. My truck, my bro's, and 4 of my buddies have had to replace em

Your fuel pump cant supply the volume at WOT. You are right on target for the age and miles for the pump. Read a post yesterday about changing the pump by tilting the bed and blocking it up. I guess I would have unstrapped in and lowered it like I did in my 99 Tahoe. Tilting the bed sounds easier. Run it near empty or pump it out and check for sediment in the bottom opf the tank. Also change your fuel filter at the same time making sure it is installed in the correct direction, note the directional markings on the filter.
