Default new body silverado WT into an LTZ

i just bought a new 2008 1500 silverado reg cab WT with onstar and xm and power windows and locks. i got the delearship to reprogram the tire presure sencer module to acept keyless entry witch its not sapose to have.

now i have a few questions i would like to make this truck as close to an LTZ as posible now if i make them order the keyless start module will it work on my truck sence it has keyless entry now?

and i have read the forums on installing factory nav units and i think i know what i need on that if it will work?

i am also wanting to instal factory fog lights is the truck pre wired for that for the most part i would think it would be?

i have the guage pod that only has gas and temp i think this will be easy im not shure but i want to upgrade to the one with battery and oil presure?

i have cruse control on the stering wheel but i would like to add radio controls as well as a new leather wraped wheel i think that should just plug in but i dont know?

one last thing is if i add power seats is there a wiring harness that i can probly get for that?

i also have plans to change out the dash panel (gray) for black and do the same with the door panels.

I already know for a fact you're going to have difficulty with the NAV installation without the factory Bose package...

why dont you trade your wt in for the ltz you want? instead of having to buy all the parts and having problems with instalation.

That's what I'm talking about! It's always twice as expensive to install all those options after the fact. Just buy and LTZ and it'll be cheaper in the end. Plus GM might actually warranty some of those gadgets when they break

Yeah, just buy or trade in your truck for the LTZ. It's going to save you money and alot of time and hassle. I know the fog lights aren't a feature that you can add on the truck. I just bought a a 08 silverado crew cab and I liked the fog lights but was told they could not be added on a as a feature since they are built into the trucks body, so I went with the LT2 package. It has everything you are looking for, expect nav.

The appearance of the LT2 is close, but there are certain options that just aren't realistic to add if you're wanting a true LTZ. I added the NAV to my LT2 since it had the BOSE package, no problem. The challenging items are things like sunroof, power sliding back glass, power folding mirrors, and apparently fog lights LOL

Yeah, the LT2 is pretty close, has everything but the nav, sound system and back sliding glass, oh n leather, which I didn't really want since I live in southern Cali and the leather burns your back and butt when you sit on it most of the year. Just get the LTZ, your going to save alot of money and time.

not every LTZ has Nav and the sliding rear window, buddies doesent have either, but if your looking for the nav, look at spending some extra $ on that, plus the interface for the Nav aint the greatest on these vehicles. id look into getting something aftermarket.

like everyone said, youd be better off just getting the LTZ then to put all the extras on your pickup, plus anything you put in isnt covered like they said above.

good luck
