I have a 2000 chevy 1/2 ton reg. cab 4x4 with 75,000 miles. The truck has a 4.3 engine and a 5 speed manual transmission. It is currently on it's third transmission. Has anyone else had problems with this tranny? I bought this truck brand new thinking that manuals were longer lasting and cheaper to replace if needed. I was wrong. The last one I bought brand new from a dealership and installed ran over $3,000. If this one doesn't last very long, I will figure on blowing this truck up literally, push it off a cliff something? Tired of wasting my money.

I had a 84 GMC with 4 speed manual that never had a glitch. I guess they dont make them like they used to???
