When i am driving and i stop at a light, and i take off i get a popping noise! Any i deas?

I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado LS CrewCab 4x4 with the 5.3L motor

 

Hi, I am not an expert, but I had an 88 4x4, and a buddy of mine had a similar truck with that noise. what he found out is that the "Half shaft" or short drive shaft has a slip yoke with a zerk fitting on it. and they never get greased. the popping noise was the shaft slidding in the sleeve. He greased it and pop went away.

 

loose engine/trans mounds...loose lug nuts....bad ujoint.. could be lots of things hard to say without more info or being there

 

Bad sway bar bushings, as cleveland63b stated could be a lot of things... we all are just giving you places to start looking
