Hey guys, I am the new owner of a 1989 c2500 and I just replaced the radiator and now it won't start. The starter just clicks once. Please help.

 

sounds like worn starter brushes. have someone hold the key to start and tap the starter sharply with the butt end of a long pry bar or tap with a hammer. stay clear of moving parts!!

 

the starter is under the engine, in front of the transmission, right?

 

should be on the right side under the exhaust manifold. might be able to access it through the right wheel well if you pull the rubber shield up. If not access either top right side of engine compartment or under the truck on the right side.

 

Also could be an old battery going bad or a poor corroded connection at the battery post(s).

 

You didnt chg thermostat and leave the ground wire off did you.

The starter was just stuck. I tried to take it out to test, but put it right back in and it started up.
