Guys, listen up,,,, I had this problem with temp gauge pegging out before the first start up of the day on my 1995 Chevy G20 van,,, I went thru 2 new temperature sensor (for gauge, single terminal,one wire),,, however, both were NOT AcDelco brand temperature sending units, so, for the THIRD time, I decided to buy another one (number 3 temperature sending unit) which this time, was an AcDelco brand,,, BAM, this solved my temperature pegging out issue, both of the first two I bought were not AcDelco brand and however, the first two were both defected, but, the third and FINAL temperature sending unit solved it all,,, AcDelco may costed a little more, but very very well worth it,,, BEWARE OF DEFECTED OFF BRAND PARTS,,, go with the original equipped brands, save yourself 😊
