Hello all, and what a great site! I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500HD Pickup, 6L, AT. Unknown to me the Tranny lines rotted out on my truck and I ran out of fluid and my Tranny started slipping bad, In first gear only. I did have the lines and cooler replaced and new fluid added, but still same slipping. If I ease into the gas and it shifts into 2nd then 3rd it's seems fine, but the initial take off is bad. Now I've noticed that if I leave the truck in Auto 4x4 it works as new. just wondering if anybody has any idea what's up?? thanks, D

 

Pull 'er down into manual low and see if it still slips. Hollar back?
