have a 94 cheyenne 4.3 4l60e. run truck until warm get out and check fluid. near the full mark but if i wait 2 minutes it reads a quart or more over. which one is right? haven't had the truck long. don't know much about it.

 

For a more accurate reading, it would probably help to drive it for a while, then put it in park, leave the engine running, and take the reading.

This is a hassle, because I'm always afraid I'm going to overfill it.
