Default Where is the 2011 Silverado Crew Cab built?

Can someone tell me where the 2011 Silverado Crew Cab was built? As in what plant and location? I found two things online and one says Arilington, TX and the other says Mexico so I am just hoping someone can tell me.

For what it is worth, my 2004 Silverado 1500 LS was assembled in Canada.

You can tell by the first digit of the serial (VIN) number on the truck. A '1' or '4' indicates USA as the assembly plant, '2' is Canada, '3' is Mexico, 'W' is Germany, 'J' is Japan, etc. ,etc.

No clue what "I" or "5" mean, though.

In case you have not found out already, there are only 2 plants remaining that build Silverado trucks. One in Flint MI and the other is Ft. Wayne IN. Plants in Mexico and Canada were shut down.

Should say on the bottom of the window price sticker, but FWIW i believe the HD's are built in Flint, Michigan and the 1/2 tons are built in Roanoke (Fort Wayne), Indiana.

Arlington, TX builds the Tahoes, and the avalanches used to be built in Mexico but i think they moved them up to Texas on the same line as the tahoes.

well if it's an HD 2500 or 3500 they were all made in Flint, MI (if it's a 1500 I think part of the 2011 production run was built in Silao, Mexico) ... the extended cabs are built in Ft Wayne, IN ... the Oshwa Canada plant and the Pontiac, MI plant were both closed in 2009 (according to wikipedia) and the Silao, Mexico plant was closed (or at least Silverado/Sierra production was discontinued during the 2011 production year) ... I personally work at the Flint, MI plant and as of right now all GM Sierra (including Denali) and Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty crew cab 2500's and 3500's are built in Flint, MI ... hope this helps ...
