Default 05 Tahoe Radio in theft loc mode

Sorry if this is a repeat, but i could not find any forum questions that matched mine. I recently removed the radio to extract a stuck cd and i guess i put the radio into theft deterrent loc mode. The volume and the tuning will not work. I have a GM part# 10359566 radio. My VIN # is 1GNEC13T45R155993. I have depressed radio select buttons 2 and 3 and get a P 03 and then i depressed 4 and 5 and got p 05. I hope that helps. My next plan is to the dealership. Thankyou for your help, kwright49

Default radio lock update

Went to Strickland Chevy and talked to the service manager, who just happened to be my over the fence neighbor. Great guy. He explained to me that all delco radios after 2004 locked in theft moade have to be hooked to GM computer and reprogrammed. My case was different, I had a bad radio that could not be reprogrammed. At least now i know. Cost?? Free of charge. I just have to buy a new radio now. Charles Kozel of Strickland Chevy rocks. Thanks for your attempt to help. Kwright49

Does that mean that removing the stuck CD broke it?

you probably have a bent tab on the radio face or didn't line it up properly when reassembling it.
These radios remember VIN numbers and do not go into theftlock when power is removed.

Default 05 Tahoe Radio lock mode

actually, there was no cd stuck in the player. I did remove the radio and pop the top off the radio to eject the cd but no cd. I reinstalled radio and lost volume control and tuning. With the ignition off the red flashing light was on. With the ignition on, i had no volume, no tuning or audio controls. Presets worked. Scan and seek worked. Volume was set low. Auto volume didn't work either. Service manager says all delcos after 04 must be reprogrammed to the vehicle and suggested going to salvage yard and he would program it for me. I search now for a radio. Thanks for all your input, Sincerely, kwright49

Default Not sure what to do

Dear Reuben,
I appreciate the offer for the radio but want to upgrade. I have several offers to put an after market radio but lots of conflicting info on how to make that happen. One stereo installer offered a Kenwood cd am/fm radio for 200$ installed. The next stereo installer advised an adapter for and antenna adapter for my tahoe. 70$ for just the adapter and more for the double din face kit. I want the Bose system to work and the rear seat console to work for headset and radio controls. I also want to install a nav system for my wife. What adapter do i need and what adapter will work with the Bose system for nav. I want to install

Double DIN DVD Multimedia AV Receiver Pioneer.
Thanks for the info, Sincerely, kwright49
