I had it that way for about an hour with the radio on w/o any issues. I do have a newer Duralast Platinum battery. I always use that one to not have to listen to the stupid door chime, but I do turn the display off on the radio and the dome lights off to save some juice.

OK, thanks.

Would the dealer still be able to fix that?

The dealer can fix just about anything but it will probably cost you the service visit....if you regularly use the dealer they might do it for free if its only programming as a customer appreciation...

I will see if the manually locking the doors cures the problem first, I have a good drive to a dealer (about 60 miles) or see if someone local can fix it, since I have no other vehicle at the moment.

Thanks for all the help.

Slw2010,

Is the closest dealership to you 60 miles away or just your closest Chevrolet dealership?

Thank you!

I think that's what I said by everything being active except the engine.

But when I tried it w/ everything off except radio, still get start engine msg.

But I can get an hour of radio w/ no problem in Accessory position.

There is a Dodge dealer here. I will walk rather than go to a Dodge dealership.

So far no clock resets, not doing anything different. Even sitting the last several days at the airport and no problem. No longer manually locking the doors either.

Very confusing problem.

Default GMT900 Mega fuse location

Give this link a read, its from the Truck portion of the forum and has some similar symptoms.... https://chevroletforum.com/forum/sil...roblems-29498/

I was washing my truck today and took a couple of pictures of where the Mega Fuse is located on the firewall....
The connection on the left is from the battery, the upper connection on the right goes to the fuse box under the hood, the lower connection on the bottom runs to the starter.

You may also want to consider cleaning up the connection to where the power to the fuse box is connected, be sure to disconnect the battery first...

EDIT: I removed the mega fuse cover so I could take a picture of it, its covered by a black plastic cover that pulls off.

Slw210,

I am sorry to hear you’re experiencing so many issues. Do you intend on taking a trip to your local Chevrolet dealership for this issue?

Thank you!

No, I dont think he will be, see, his clock doesn't work on his fairly new GM vehicle... so he will never make it to the dealer when they are open... since...you see... he has no idea what time it is!

Do you guys get referral fees or what?

Maybe I could get my local dealer to pay me to troll on here and tell people to come on down!

Sorry, the advertising is just so transparent I had to mock it...
