I have a similar issue with a 2009 Suburban, warmer air on Driver's side than passenger. If I turn it up all the way to hot and then back down it seems to fix itself.

So what is the final say for this????

Allblack,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your vehicle. Have you taken your vehicle to the dealership for diagnosis?

Thank you!

My Tahoe is at the deal right now with this same problem. It is the control module under the dash board that sends hot air to the drivers side, while the passenger is blowing cold - repair is costing me $700. I have the same problem in the rear - an additional $800 repair. Bummer of it all, I have the front module replaced 16 months ago and now it's not working again. The dealer only provides a 12 month warranty.

Also an FYI - if you connect your battery, you may get similar symptoms (hot air on side, cold on the other). This will persists for a few days until the car programs itself.

This happened on our 2005 Yukon as well. Since an independent shop had charged about $400 to replace the actuator on our 1994 Suburban, I did the 2005 repair myself (after setting it manually to cold and disconnecting the electrical harness for a year), used a Dorman aftermarket actuator. The 2005 Yukon had 3 such actuators, under the dash.

This worked on my ‘13 Tahoe after the battery died. Thanks for the tip!

could be refrigerant level is low. Have it checked. The evaporator only cooling 1 side when low is common.
