Yep the way the weather changes down here, its worth the wait for a few days til we get comfortable weather.
The only advantage to working in the cold is my beer stays colder longer....

I pulled the sending unit out (it appeared to be leaking a little oil from the electrical plug that connects to it. Turned ignition switch on and gauge showed 0. This made me think it was the sending unit being bad (probably shorted out). Cleaned the plug and the sending unit of all oil. Put it back in and it gave the same reading of being max'd out.
Wow I think I'll start a thread on the sending unit in case someone else has this issue......

If I were to look and see what the DIC says the amount of fuel used is and then put only that amount in at fill up, the MPG should always come out the same to the DIC and hand calculated...

Probably explains why my DIC reading is always about 0.5 mpg on the hi side.
I suspect if you keep putting in just the amount that it says it used, you'll eventually run out of gas.

We are about to hit the road for a trip to Arkansas, I will see if I can follow that idea of putting in only what the DIC says was used and will report back...
