Hi folks, first time poster here. My 2011 suburban has folding mirrors which actually allow me to park in my garage! In the past couple weeks, the
Driver side mirror has been folding but very jerky. Like it is struggling.
I want to fix it before it fails completely. Also the cold weather is coming😳
Before I take it apart and start figuring it out myself, thought I would ask her if anyone has an idea what it could be. Does it need new motor? New gears?

 

On my '11 Tahoe, same mirrors, I had to pop off the top covers and lubricate the posts the mirrors pivot on. Mine were binding / sticking.
Lube them up before you damage any expensive gears.
