1999 Suburban Fuel Tank Hose T Style Connector Broken
1999 Suburban Fuel Tank Hose T Style Connector Broken
Hey everyone. I was recently given the 99 Suburban I drove in high school which is in need of some restoration and fixing. I found the fuel pump was out so I dropped the tank to replace it. During that process, the T-style connector on the vapor line broke (not sure on name but it’s the one hose that does not connect to the sending unit). I’ve attached a picture of the part I’m talking about because I’m having a hard time finding anything about it or the lines it connects. What is this part called so I can replace it and get the engine back up and running? The plastic was really brittle so I’m sure it needed to be replaced anyway. I appreciate any help! T-Style Connector Connector for this line
Welcome from Florida. You can go to any auto parts store and they will have T connectors of varying sizes. They are inexpensive and no need to go to the dealer and get it from them at a much higher price.
Thank you all for the help. Got that piece replaced, new pump and filter installed, and the engine started right up. Other than idling a little rough, it was like it never sat for years.
Now when I start it, a little flame drops out under the engine while the starter is running. After it drops, the engine runs. Obviously that’s a hazard but fixing my Suburban is worth it to get it road worthy again.
I’m not 100% sure. I was able to get this one video of it happening but haven’t been able to reproduce it now that I have a fire extinguisher next to me.
