I was told it wouldn't rust as fast, and obviously easier for the bends. But really, I appreciate the input and honestly I was a bit skeptic. I'll take this into consideration though as I'll be doing the calipers and mounts next. Apparently the precious owner snapped the bleeder screw flush, so I figure on doing the calipers all around. Thanks for the advise

Brake line tubing has a special coating on it that's supposed to resist corrosion. The name of the coating escapes me presently. The brake line tubing is double flared also and requires special tooling.

some steel lines are zinc rust coated some have nothing at all. the ones with no coating will surface rust within 3 months. I spray steel lines with rubberized rocker guard to protect them.


copper lines will split when double flaring and will not withstand the high pressures the system generates.


copper-nickel is perfectly acceptable to use and is the easiest to bend and will not rust.
