2003 Chevy Tahoe Change Engine Oil

The Change Engine Oil light was not reset the last time I got the oil changed. This has happened before and I had to do something with the gas pedal, but I do not remember. Can anyone help me? Thanks

turn the key to the accessory postion and then step on the gas pedal 3 times

Remember after you have pressed th gas pedal in the 3 times, turn the ignition key to off, then crank.

I think you actually have to have the key in the run position (with engine off). If you do it correctly, the "Change Engine Oil" message will flash 5 times.
