Default 2005 Chevrolet Suburban LT 8.1L 4X4 (2 things)

#1)- AC ....... Nothing is coming out the vents in the front. The back vents blow cold. Thoughts? #2)- Dash lights super dim. Can't read odometer in the daytime, and have to look pretty hard at night even. Is this a new dash components issue? Or just bulbs?

Might be a stupid question but.....

Have you tried to adjust the dash light dimmer switch to full bright?

See if the front air is being diverted to the windshield or under the dash - could be one of the under-dash actuators if that's the situation. And you should be ale to hear the front blower motor spinning if it's operational. Sometimes a bad blower resistor can also cause the motor not to spin.

Yep, no windage up front at all. Defrost, floor, or dash.

Well - if the blower motor is operating (listen for it), then the air must be going SOMEWHERE - Yogi Berra

I'm not kidding. My dash lights would go on and off after I first got my Suburban. I was thinking electrical short..nope.
Dimmer dial was adjusted near low and I guess bumps would jiggle it between dim and dark.
It is the roller next to the headlight switch. Make sure it is adjusted up.

Hey 3Js, ready for a laugh? Initially, when I read your "dimmer switch" solution, I thought you were talking about a way to correct my front blower issue. 🤣.
