Default 2007 auto climate control upgrade ???

I am wondering if anyone knows if the wiring harnesses are similar on the back of the manual and automatic climate control units?I am going from part 1573577 to part 15932418.Please keep in mind that my "manual" unit does have independentadjustable driver and passenger termperature controls. I was just hoping to move to a system where I can set a pre-programmed temperature. Thanks in advance.

there was another post like this and i believe the answer was that you could not change from the manuel to auto climate controls. try doing a search for it though.

That is correct you cannot make the switch, there are many other components that make up the Auto Climate Control then just the HVAC head.

ZX,

I plan on getting a cashmere center console... (one day in the near future...ha) I was wondering if it's possible to move the manual ceiling controls to the back of the console to fit the hole, and then replace the ceiling console with a factory drop down dvd unit.

It can be done (anything can be done) but the wiring for the rear HVAC control unit is part of the body wiring harness (not a seperate smaller harness) so you will have to build and splice all the wires that you need to complete the move and that will be the toughest part.

My advice is don't try it, it will be extremely difficult and you'll have little practical tech support since you'll be the test pilot.
