Default 2007 Suburban LTZ

Anyone have trouble with the LTZ chrome door handles (exterior) pulling away from the body of the vehicle. All 4 exterior door pulls have broken and/or pulled away from the body. I understand this is a common problem according to a parts guy at local Chevy dealership. Any advice?

That happened on my 09 LTZ with about 10,000 miles on it.
The dealer replaced the two that broke at no charge.
It also happened on my 08 Impala LTZ with about 50,000 miles on it. The dealer did that one as well at no charge.

It is a VERY common problem.
Talk to your dealer and see what he says.

Thanks!

On both the 08 and the 09--
The rear portion of the handle pulled away from the door.
The dealer replaced the entire exterior handle.

I've just had the same thing happen to the drivers door of my 07 Suburban LTZ. Unfortunately the vehicle is WAY out of warranty with 80k on it. I have no idea what a dealer would charge for this.

Default recall

it was a recall or TSB... it's a safety issue, take it in, be nice, but firm.

I have a 2008 Suburban, with 2 broken door handles. My dealer replaced one back 2 years ago under warranty. He said he will replaced these 2 at no charge. I bought it from him new. 65k miles. Very cool.
