2007 Tahoe Intermittent Electrical Problems
I'm new to this forum. I have leveraged it several times and typically find the answer to most of my problems without the need to post. However, this one has me baffled.

I am convinced that this is an electrical problem, but I wanted to do some vetting here to see if anyone has any input before taking it in and having a dealer start guessing on part swaps to nail it down, since it is all intermittent.
Here is what I have:
about 2 months ago I had a "Low Oil Pressure, TURN OFF ENGINE" warning come on. I was on the road, and the oil was a tad low, so I added a little, and the warning went away.
3-4 weeks ago I had engine light come on with "Service Charging System". I drove for about 20 miles, then stopped. When I got back in the truck the error was gone and I haven't seen it since.
Last week, I had almost the exact same "Low Oil Pressure" warning, symptoms, and resolution that is discussed by "JPTL" in the thread below (along with check engine light).
https://chevroletforum.com/forum/tah...g-41924/page3/
I had the engine light codes checked at AutoZone, and this is what came up.
P0521 - Oil pressure sensor range
P0572 - Cruise control/brake switch circuit low
P0719 - Brake Switch Circuit Low Input
Also C0196, C0900, and C0899
I replaced the oil pressure switch and nothing changed. I then did a complete oil change and everything reset and seemed normal. This was last Thursday.
I left the truck sitting for a few days, then went to start it this morning. The truck was stuttering, and the check engine light was flashing along with "Service Stabilitrack" and a Traction Control Error.
Turned off truck, reset engine light by disconnecting the battery for 20 mins. Everything seemed to return to normal.
Tonight I was unable to unlock the doors using the remote, or even using the button on the driver's side door. I tried starting and it wouldn't start (just a click). When I pulled the keys out after trying a few times, it tried to turn over (NOTE: Keys were NOT in ignition). After that I was able to start the truck, unlock the doors, and everything "seemed" normal again. So weird!
Other symptoms over the past few months:
-occasional "pop" in the electrical system while driving. sometimes the lights flicker, sometimes the stereo turns of.
-occasionally unable to lock the doors and arm the alarm
All of this is intermittent, and none of it is real consistent.
I tried to give as much information as possible without being silly about every detail.

Have you had the battery checked out? The last time I had weird things happening it was the battery. It even cranked the engine and started normally. When the battery was replaced everything went back to normal.
I will bring it into Autzone and have them run a test on it.
Thanks for the input. I will provide feedback if anything changes.

Quick update:
Brought truck in to check battery and charging system, and everything checked out ok.
This afternoon I went to start it up and it wouldn't start. I opened and closed doors, locked & unlocked the locks, pulled key in and out, and nothing. However, when I was trying to turn it over, I would see the radio flash on for a moment occasionally. I also saw the engine light faintly flickering.
Again, I'm open to taking it into the shop, but since this is all intermittent, I'm just wondering if it will be a huge ordeal that lasts months trying to find the right component.
Either that, or maybe it's time to say goodbye to this truck and find something new.

could just be a bad ground. there's a thread about bad grounds that cause multiple problems.

Thank you
I agree, check the ground from the body to engine, also check the battery cables, they need to be solid and clean...
If you are still not getting any power I would check the mega fuse located on the firewall near the battery...

I just mist Simple Green on everything under the hood and rinse off in the Spring and Fall. I've found that when you keep it clean, techs tend to be a little more careful when working on it.
