NOOOOO, Please, not a Ford!

 

LOL, I have a 6" Lifted F350 on some 36" tires; I love it, its reliable. But the wife doesn't want to drive it everyday since its a stretch to put the boys in their car seats then to climb in herself. Not the Soccer Mom type of truck, lol.

 

Over the last week a very rare pop and grind has become significantly worse. I have replaced the u joint just last night and it is still making a pop noise. I have had something leaking underneath the rear end as well that seems to have gotten worse. I am really hoping that this is not the rear end going out. Since the day we purchased it, it has had a "whine" in the rear. When you reach speeds of about 40mph it is very loud. It increases in sound with increase in speed. That has been 3 years ago and other than it being annoying it didn't effect anything. However this popping noise is startling. I thought I had hit another car the first time. Now I can't get ease out of my drive without 3-5 pops. Any ideas?

 

Jeremy you should create your own thread for better assistance, I'm assuming you checked all your fluids already since this has been an existing problem?
