2008 Suburban 1500 sway bar mount tore out of the frame
Tahoe & SuburbanThe power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.
Just had a look at my 2008 3/4 ton Suburban that I owned from new. It has L shaped plates welded to the frame. It came from the factory like that. I’ll try get some pics.

Here is a pic of my 2008 3/4 ton Suburban frame
showing where the reinforcement plate is welded to the frame. This taken looking up at it. You can make out the bottom and as it wraps around the corner the weld beads blend into the steel of the frame. This is from the factory.
For the last shot I pulled back the plastic fender liner and took a shot of where the stabilizer bar makes its bend.

I have made and installed a few of these now and it takes a competent welder about 1 to 1 1/2 hours per side to install. Once installed and painted these look almost factory. Here are some pictures of them installed and painted.
