So those of us that own the earlier 2007/08 GM Denso navigation radios with XM subscriptions cannot get XM Traffic downloads without buying another piece of hardware?....is this correct or is it simply a firmware flash upgrade to the radio?

If its hardware does anyone know how to get the module?

Bluetooth in the 2009MY is inside the OnStar 8.0 hardware module so you would have to change that out.

The 3D buildings your speaking of are probably what is commonly referred to as "BirdsEye View".

The newest Nav disc has the option of changing the view to get birdseye view. Up in the top left corner of the screen is the compass box that shows whether or not you have it set to show, North always up view, or heads up view.

You can also choose satellite view or Birdseye view.

Just touch the box until you like what you see.

I have mine set to heads up and birdseye view all the time

Default 2009 tahoe volume maxed out

I picked up a supposedly new NAV unit. I had it unlocked by the dealer but the volume is pegged and I can't adjust it? Any ideas? They have it set up without the Y91 code. I have a 2009 Tahoe w/bose,

I have the GPS antenna installed, VSS cable tapped and VCIM cables hooked up.

The model is 25834072. The dealer says it he doesn't think it will work with the 09? I thought I read where others have used this unit in an 09.?

They need to set the truck up for both Y91, and whether or not you have the rpo STZ
You have to look very carefully when reprogramming the 09 C\K trucks. There are options for both 09 and 08 under the same heading but they are VERY different options between the two years.

Your problem sounds like a programming issue
