2009 Navigation Unit w/XM NavTraffic GM Part Number
Currious about any news on possibly adding the 09 nav units in earlier tahoe's 07+, I have an 08 LT with Nav but would consider getting the new one to add traffic and bluetooth but not sure where the bluetooth comes to play possibly a seperate module or in the radio and same with xm traffic but was checking to see if there is any new info if its doable and possiby p/n's?
Just stumbled across this link and if you look a few posts down someone has listed p/n's for adding possibly factory bluetooth, I haven't gone through the whole thread yet. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/lofi...hp?t78031.html

I own an 09... with the apparently sought after sat nav...
in Harrisburg, PA it said something about constuction; but I didn't believe it as I just drove past that section 2 hours ago... it was right and I was freaked out...
my blue tooth module has caused me to go back to the dealer 2x now, while the voice commands for destinations has NEVER worked from new with 6 miles on it.
so... it's in the shop #5, and instead of waiting for parts they are pulling the satnav from one on the lot.
Will my radio ID change? I got a lifetime subscription to XM, but it doesn't start till 7/01/09... and it allows changes for factory issues....
I will say the bluetooth to my iphone works well, voice commands to call stored people/numbers works 100%. the last update they did really smoothed the scrolling, and allows me to reverse or unreverse the backup image, and record voice tags while rolling...
it does not however have the option to display lines during backup like the manual says it does...

The GM Accessories website has two Part Nos. 19169886 & 19169885.
The 19169886 has the following info from gmpartsdirect:
19169886 navigation radio package, includes radio, antenna, data disc, harness, user information & manual; Currently this is on backorder from GM. There is not an estimated time when GM will have stock available.
The 86 & 85 radio are the same price and the 85 is for vehicles with the Rear Seat Entertainment (U42).
What is physically different between the radios? I do not have the RSE either but I may add a rear monitor for the kids, maybe. Will the 85 work even if I don't have the RSE? I was thinking that the 85 may have an extra plug or harness? Same price though......
I don't want to shortchange myself by buying the 86 if the 85 offers an extra feature for the same price. Conversely, I don't want to buy the 85 if it won't work!

I've been reading post for over a month now trying to figure what Nav unit I need but I still have not found a firm answer. I have a 07 Denali with UQA (Bose) and U42 rear entertainment, it also has the Y91 RPO. I've found post about people using the 15940102 but I have also seen people talking about installing a 25797978. It looks like I could buy the 19169885 but I sure dont have $2500 to drop into a Nav system right now. Does anyone know what unit comes in that package?
The following link:

show that the 09 Tahoe upgrade with rear entertainment would need the UVB package and not the U3U in my case. So I go to Ebay and search UVB Navigation and I keep coming up with 25797978 as the partnumber of the head unit.
Also, I know that the Y91 means Luxury sound but what does that exactly mean (Amplifier)? If that is the case, I tought the UQA package included the Bose amp?
Anyways, I'm would like to be relatively sure about the Nav unit working in my truck before I spend $800 bucks and it not work. I would hate to have to explain to my wife why we have a new toaster with a screen on it.
Thanks for any info!

Well still no XM Traffic for my nav install. I have reprogrammed the radio, BCM and VCIM (they all had references to Navigation Radio calibrations) and I still can't get XM Traffic. I don't even have the Traffic ICON button at the top of the Navigation Screen. I'm at a complete loss and very frustrated. Anyone have an XM Traffic ready nav radio that they know the part# for? I am convinced that there is a different radio installed for the 2009's to allow for traffic. The Head Unit I installed is part# 20807044 which is supposed to be the "latest unit". If anybody has any other information that would help, I would soooo appreciate it.
Thanks
Thanks
I just reviewed the dealer installed upgrade for the Navigation system and there is NO mention of NAV TRAFFIC capabilities.
Radio - Navigation
Get from here to there...without stopping to ask for directions! The Navigation Radio utilizes Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and is seamlessly integrated into your vehicle. Features a single slot player for the navigation DVD or CD, as well as AM/FM/XM (if vehicle is equipped with XM) Radio. The user-friendly, 6.5-inch LCD touch screen makes address inputs quick. Easily follow the navigation directions on the screen or from the voice-guided commands. Includes a U.S. map database with major streets and points of interest.
I think this is due to the differences in Digital Radio Receivers installed, U2K versus UBS. I just ordered the UBS receiver. I had a U2K version. I will see if this activates the traffic menu on the Navigation unit.
