i have a 09 tahoe with the push button hatch. At times the door will not open, like it is locked. i was wandering if anyone had any info or help

Is it unlocked?
Is the vehicle in park?

 

the tahoe is unlocked and in park. this is an intermintent concern. It only happens when I have to have the hatch open, otherwise it work fine. It is still in warenty but our dealer can't fix it. I am a ford techician and this is my first chevy so I seek to fix it myself, but need help

 

Make sure the console push button is not in the locked position.

 

Are you saying that the tailgate won't open if the glass is open? 'Cause if so, then yeah, it won't open. Conceivably, you could crush the glass.

If you're NOT saying that, then... I have no idea.

 

On my 07 I can open the hatch with the glass already open...
I think woody1 can't get his to open consistently when done with the handle

 

I wonder if all three places fail to open it, the remote, the console button, and the handle button/grip squeeze?
