Default Rear Hatch Door Switch intermitten

My rear hatch door switch is intermitten , It might open the hatch latch 4 or 5 times then quit working. It always works the next day, then quits after 4 or 5 times. I replace the mechanical latch / servo, spent 160 dollars for nothing. When I replaced the servo latch, I installed a cord , so that I can pull it to open the hatch through the rear window. I do not have a power gate, just an electrical latch switch.

If anyone has any Ideas

thanks

If it is not the switch then start to look at the wiring. Look for a loose or poor connection or a bad spot on one of the wires going to the switch.

Check the latch itself, make sure the hatch is closing firmly and properly...my daughter had a similar issue with the trunk on her 09 Cobalt, sometimes the remote and or the inside button would not open the trunk... after some investigating it turned out that if the trunk lid was not close firmly, the release would not activate, but it was closed enough not to flag the trunk hatch open lamp....
You might also tray a shot of lithium spray lube on the lock mechanism and catch....
