2010 Suburban LTZ Liftgate opens even if locked
Hello, I am wondering if this is an issue or am I missing something.
My suburban rear liftgate/glass keeps opening even if the doors are locked. The gate or glass will still open from the FOB. The buttons are super sensitive so the glass or liftgate will open just by putting the FOB in my pocket.
A friend said that their car had a sensor go bad that would allow the hatch to open even if locked.
The way I believe it should work is you should have to unlock the doors from the FOB then be able to open the liftgate.

You have a bad fob. Look online for a fob keypad replacement. Even when doors are locked the fob will open the tailgate, that's how all my GM vehicles work.
Only way tailgate is locked from any button or source is when transmission is out of park.
