2011 tahoe

I just purchased my 2011 Tahoe two weeks ago and it already has over 250,000 miles I don’t know the oil change history and I was wondering which would be better synthetic oil or regular oil

Welcome from Florida. The recommended oil to use is 5W30 Dexos full synthetic. How does it run? Does it burn oil or smoke?

I've been running my '11 on SuperTech full synth. 5-30w Dexos oils for the last 90k miles. At 126k now and only use a half qt. of oil between changes by the oil life monitor. Wix filters.
