2017 Suburban instrument cluster DIC dead
Looking for advice on repair of instrument cluster. The speedometer and rpm gauge work, digital display is dead. GM is on strike, no availability shown on replacement part. Other option is junkyard if the right panel can be found. Dealer says they need numbers off the panel to match with junkyard. Wanted 2 hours labor more to remove and reinstall from dash to get number. Told them I wanted a general ballpark of cost before I proceeded, waiting on call. Is removal very difficult on this generation? I had a 2003 I had to replace the instrument panel in, and taken apart other car dashes. Thinking of getting numbers myself, save the labor, possibly do it myself if I can locate a salvage one, or send for repair if there is a company that does it. TIA
