Default 4wd **** warm

I have a 2007 Tahoe, and I've noticed that the **** to switch the 4wd system gets really warm. It's not hot to the touch, but it seems odd to me that it's warmer than most *****. Likewise, the headlight **** next to it is warmer than most, but not as warm as the 4wd ****. Any ideas why? This can't be normal, is it?

It's normal and caused by the illumination source.
