96 suburban overheating.
Okay 96 k1500 is leaking antifreeze fast. Maybe every 3-5 days I have to fill the radiator back up to prevent it from running hot on me. Truck has 150,000 miles on it. I have never had any problems out of her far as overheating until now, except that antifreeze has never stayed in the over flow tank ever since I've owned it, and that's been since 2001, (side note: and antifreeze has never been visibly dripping from anywhere) now it's running hot frequently unlike it used to. Uhhh I do notice after shutting her off that I hear this gurgling sound coming from the engine, wonder if that has to do with my problem. Also I think my power steering pump has just gone bad. I noticed tonite I heard a whining noise while turning the steering wheel, so I checked the power steering fluid and it was bone dry. I put more in it and started the truck up, I got underneath and noticed a fluid running off of the metal pan that Is behind the oil pan, I think it power steering fluid. Could someone help me out please. I love her and don't wanna let her go.
OK guys figured out that the antifreeze is def leaking from the water pump housing. I see you have to get to it from underneath the truck. Could any one direct me on how to replace the pump? And also would I need a special tool to remove the water pump itself??
