i recently bought a 96 tahoe, 5.7 litler and after a few months while driving on the free way the car would slightly miss fire, so i replaced the spark plugs, wires, cap&rotor, coil, fuel filter and fuel pump hopeing that would fix it. after still miss firing and getting worse, (now only missing around 40 miles an hour and up) and no codes poping up, i take it to a local shop and have no luck other than cylinder 4 miss fire,( fuel pressure good ect.) i feel it getting more frequent, it misses at idle ect. I read a thread that it could need a whole new distributor? fuel injectors? dirty cylinder? my lights dim slightly and my heater looses power kinda? plz help. the other problem is the transmission started over reving/slipping in 1st to 2nd gear, fluid level looks good, only does it it in 1st and 2nd and goes up to 5k rpm before shifting.
